Love Redefined - Edward Daos (1/5/10)

Love is like a creeper,
Because it sneaks up on you
But when you realize that you're falling in deeper,
You're feelings begin to subdue, or even become untrue

But I could be wrong
Because it could make it stronger
Causing your relationship to last longer
As it prolongs, that just might be where you belong

But see, this love that we all seek is unobtainable
Cause we must first enable all the secrets that were once unexplainable
But the love that we all want is also attainable
But we must obtain those feelings that compel us to love, cause see they are sustainable

Many people in this world can never feel love and shit
Don't give them pity, or a heart-felt conversation
Cause see, shit like that for the loveless will only make it worse

And those who are like me cannot commit to a relationship, so we just go on and quit
Cause shit, love gives us frustration and confusion on sensation
Perplexed on love so our feelings begin to disperse

But the attempts we all make for love is astounding
Not because love is amazing but because we all try in different ways
Ways that sets your lover gazing into your eyes for days
And heavily and nervous you feel your own heart pounding

Down the road, love will take us down two paths,
Either in a happily ever after or in a sweet misery
In the happily ever after, all is good but you still fall into treachery
And in the sweet misery, you believe that you've fallen into your gods wrath

And yet you still end up happy in your own ending
By suspending your dark feelings and no longer pretending
Cause out comes the real you, and that's what your lover has fallen in love with
But this mainly happens in fairytales and myths

If you really want love, just stop chasing it
Cause love will begin to start racing after you
When love decides to show up in your life, you'll be facing it
Don't go towards it, cause love will pursue you

Take this advice and the stories I foretold
And take them with you until you grow old
And unfold the feelings that you once tried to admit
And lets try to commit to a relationship

When you find true love, you and your partner's love will become entwined
No longer will you be blinded by your heart, cause that's all behind you
And unwind your feelings and never keep love confined
Now see, this is Love, Redefined
